Petrus Brovka House Museum

On July 10, 1980, a memorial museum was founded in the village of Putilkovichi, where the people's poet of Belarus Petrus Brovka was born. For five years, hard work was carried out to collect the necessary information to restore the poet's native house, which was burned by the Nazis during the war. The House-Museum of P. Brovka was opened in July 1985.

The house was restored on the site of the estate of the family of P. Brovka, who lived there since 1925. In the new house, which is much larger in size, there is an interesting exhibition. It consists of 2 parts-memorial and literary. The memorial part contains items that reflect the life of the peasants of the region, including the family of P. Brovka at the beginning of the XX century. In literature – the life and work of the poet. Numerous copies of manuscripts, published works, unique photographs reveal the attitude of P. Brovka as a poet-citizen. Ethnographic materials and memorabilia of the poet, reflecting the period of his life in the village and the early period of his work, are widely presented.
